Cape Point Tour
The classic Cape day out: the coastal road over Chapman’s Peak, the penguins at Boulders, the cliffs of Cape Point, and Kirstenbosch on the way home.
This is the tour most first-time visitors ask for, and it earns the reputation. In one day it runs from the city bowl down the Atlantic seaboard to the south-western corner of the African continent, then back over the mountain through one of the great botanical gardens of the world.
We keep the pace unhurried. Your guide does the driving, the parking, the timing and the queueing, so the day is spent looking at the Cape rather than working out how to get around it.

City Bowl
We set off from the heart of Cape Town with Table Mountain on one side and Table Bay on the other, and put the day in context before heading south along the Atlantic coast.

Chapman’s Peak Drive
One of the most photographed roads in the world — carved into the cliff face between Hout Bay and Noordhoek with the Atlantic directly below. We stop at the viewpoints rather than driving straight through.

Boulders Beach
A breeding colony of African penguins living among granite boulders on the edge of Simon’s Town, watched from raised boardwalks a few metres away.

Cape Point
The nature reserve at the tip of the peninsula: the old lighthouse on the headland, the funicular, and the long view down towards the Cape of Good Hope.

Kirstenbosch
The national botanical garden on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, planted almost entirely with South African species — a quiet, green end to a big day.
